Fort Lauderdale United FC today announced the club’s first-ever player Felicia Knox, pending league and federation approval.
Since her collegiate debut in 2020, Knox has redefined the essence of midfield mastery at the University of Alabama. Her freshman year accolades included a coveted spot on the SEC All-Freshman Team, setting the stage for a storied collegiate career.
Knox became a linchpin in Alabama’s strategy, holding the university’s records for both single-season and career assists—a testament to her strategic acumen and unmatched playmaking abilities. Her extraordinary contribution has not only ranked her seventh nationwide in career assists (31) but also earned her prestigious titles such as the 2022 All-American and SEC Midfielder of the Year. Additionally, Knox was the third-round pick by Angel City FC in the NWSL draft earlier this year.
Beyond the pitch, Knox’s strategic vision extends to her academic pursuits in hospitality management, with a focus on sports management and event planning. Her impressive juggling of academic and athletic commitments earned her the 2022 Academic All-American title, further cementing her reputation as a powerhouse both on and off the field.
Fort Lauderdale United FC also unveiled the club’s season ticket membership for 2024/25.
