As the countdown to opening day shortens, the number of Super League player announcements continues to rise. In the past week, all eight clubs named 26 players to their rosters. Here’s a closer look at this week’s Super Signings:
DC Power FC named Jorian Baucom as the first player in club history on Thursday. The forward spent last season with Scotland’s Hibernian Women’s FC, where she ranked second in goals (29) scored in the Scottish Women’s Premier League. Prior to her professional career, Baucom played three seasons at Louisiana State University, scoring 33 goals through 65 games. She closed out her collegiate career at the University of Colorado Boulder, where she made program history by having the second most goals in a single season with 12 through 20 matches.
Anna Bagley was the second addition to the Power FC roster this week. The midfielder is signing her first professional contract after an impressive collegiate career with Virginia Commonwealth University from 2019-2023. Bagley scored 10 goals and recorded 18 assists in 74 appearances (67 starts) over five seasons. In her final season, she was named to the A10 All-Conference First Team.
Power FC signed its first goalkeeper this week in Adelaide Gay. Gay has an extensive professional career playing for multiple clubs in the NWSL and overseas in Iceland. The goalkeeper spent three years at the University of North Carolina, where she made 46 appearances for the Tar Heels and helped the team win their 21st NCAA championship title. Gay also made six appearances this season with Asheville City SC of the USL W League.
Forward Erica Gomes was Fort Lauderdale United FC’s only signee this week. Gomes brings years of experience to the Fort Lauderdale front line, most recently playing for Mexico’s Cruz Azul W. Hailing from Brazil, she began her professional career in her home country with Iranduba de Amazonia W in 2020. After two seasons, she joined Portugal’s Albergaria/Durit W and scored five goals through four matches.
Carolina Ascent FC kicked off its announcements with defender Kelly Anne Livingstone. The New Jerseyan began her professional career with Gotham FC as the 24th overall pick in the 2022 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) College Draft. She later spent a season with Denmark’s Fortuna Hjørring, followed by a season with Seattle Reign FC. Livingstone played her collegiate career at Georgetown University, where she earned several titles including BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year and being named to the United Soccer Coaches All-American team.
Goalkeeper Charlotte Burge was the Ascent’s second signee of the week. At only 18 years old, Burge is making history as the youngest professional women’s goalkeeper in the United States. The Virginia native began her career in 2023 with Germany’s FFC Kaiserslautern, and previously trained with USL League Two’s Virginia Beach United. Burge played for the Virginia Rush Soccer Club, where she guided her team to a tournament title without giving up any goals.
Carolina Ascent announced midfielder Eli Beard will be joining this season’s roster. Beard played for Marquette University from 2014-2017 and recorded 66 all-time appearances, seven goals, and five assists. She has also represented the Israel Women’s National Team for the last two years and has spent three years playing professionally in Israel. Beard is returning to the United States from Iceland, where she was most recently playing for Keflavík ÍF in the Besta Deild Kvenna, the premier Icelandic women’s soccer league.
Dallas Trinity FC named midfielder Jenny-Julia Danielsson to its inaugural roster this week. The Finnish midfielder has earned 38 caps for the Finland women’s national team and won the Finnish Women’s Cup in 2014 and 2015 with FC Honka. Danielsson also previously played for other European clubs, most recently Sweden’s Växjö DFF.
Illinois native Hannah Davison was another addition to Dallas’ roster this week. The defender began her professional career with the Chicago Red Stars of the NWSL. She spent the following seasons with Sweden’s AIK and Scotland’s Rangers Women’s Football Club. Her collegiate career was spent at Northwestern University, where she earned multiple titles and one of the longest starting streaks in program history (73).
Dallas announced on Friday the signing of Swedish international Maja Henricksson. The defender played four seasons at Keiser Univeristy, where she started in all but three of her 86 appearances. She was honored as the United Soccer Coaches Player of the Year for the 2020-21 season. She finished her college career at Nova Southeastern, recording 659 minutes, four goals and four assists.
Forward Alyssa Walker joins Spokane Zephyr FC after a stint with Denmark’s HB Køge, where she scored five goals through 19 appearances. She previously played in Norway’s top women’s league with SK Brann Kvinner and Sweden’s IFK Kalmar. In Walker’s undergraduate career, she started 55 of 60 matches at the University of Richmond from 2016-2020. She extended her collegiate career as a graduate student at the University of Iowa, where she was named the offensive MVP and made the All-Big 10 third team.
Zephyr FC added another forward to its roster with Riley Tanner. She is joining the Super League after a season with Washington Spirit, where she was chosen as the 30th overall pick in the 2023 NSWL draft. Tanner brings plenty of experience to Spokane, having earned 14 caps with the Panama Women’s National Team and making an appearance at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. She began her collegiate career at the University of South Carolina before transferring to the University of Alabama for two seasons, where she started 38 of 44 matches played.
Defender Sydney Cummings was another addition to the Zephyr this week. The New Jerseyan previously played for Scotland’s Celtic FC Women and helped guide the team to its first Scottish Women’s Premier League title. Cummings has also made multiple appearances on the Guayana Women’s National Team. She began her collegiate career at Brown, where she earned multiple All-Ivy honors and started all 52 matches played, tallying over 4,800 minutes. She continued her collegiate career at Georgetown, where she helped lead the team to a Big East Tournament Championship and the NCAA Tournament in 2021.
Spokane announced on Friday that Katie Murray would be joining the team. Murray has spent much of her career overseas, most recently with the Dutch club PEC Zwolle of the Eredivisie Vrouwen, the top league in the Netherlands. There, she appeared in 18 matches, starting 14. The midfielder was a member of the Fighting Illini from 2015-18, finishing her collegiate career with 13 goals.
Tampa Bay Sun FC announced Yuki Watari as the first signee of the week. Watari, a midfielder from Japan, joins the Sun from FC Juárez Femenil of the Liga MX Femenil. She brings a competitive collegiate resume to the Sun’s roster after scoring 77 goals and recording 69 assists in 89 appearances at the University of Tennessee Southern.
Jazmin Enrigue Abundis joins Tampa Bay as the second signing of the week from Liga MX’s Femenil. Abundis, a native of Guadalajara, Mexico, plays as a defender, splitting her previous professional experiences in her home country between Tigres UANL Femenil and Querétaro FC Femenil.
Tampa Bay welcomed Jade Moore as the third international signing this week. Moore joins the Super League from Birmingham City Women. Her professional experiences extend to Leeds, Notts County, Reading, Atlético Madrid, and Manchester United. This is a return for the midfielder to the States, following a brief spell for Orlando Pride in 2020. Moore is an English international with 49 caps for the Lionesses and she was part of the English selection to finish third at the 2016 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada.
Forward Cecilie Fløe Nielsen was Tampa’s fourth international player announced this week. The Danish striker competed for five seasons in the Elitedivisionen, Denmark’s highest level of women’s football, playing for Odense Q, Kolding IF Kvinder, and HB Køge. In her last three seasons with Køge, she scored 32 goals in 72 appearances.
Tampa Bay added goalkeeper Lauren Kellett to its roster this week. Kellett is joining the Super League after a remarkable college career at TCU. The Texas native made 69 appearances through four seasons and tallied 28 shutouts. She was named the Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Year in 2021 and on the First Team All-Big 12 in 2022.
Lexington SC announced forward Madison Parsons to the club’s squad for the league’s inaugural season. Parsons played four seasons with California State University-Chico, where she scored the fastest hat trick in school history (three minutes, four seconds) Parsons also played for Yuba FC and CDA of the United Premier Soccer League, captaining both teams in the last two years.
Madelen Holme was Lexington’s second announcement of the week. The forward played six seasons for various Norwegian clubs, including Arna-Bjørnar from Toppserien, the top league in Norway. Away from home, she played for Spanish club Levante UD in the Liga F and most recently for SV Meppen in the 2. Frauen Bundesliga. In her youth, Holme also featured for the Norwegian Women’s U15 to U19 National Team from 2017-20.
Lexington also welcomed Natalie Turner-Wyatt to the team. Turner-Wyatt played four seasons at Williams College, where she won three national championships with the Ephs. In 2023, she joined Downtown United Soccer Club of the WPSL and helped the squad win back-to-back conference championships.
Emmi Dunn is the fourth Lexington player announced this week. Dunn, who was most recently with Nurmijärven Jalkapalloseura (NJS) in Finland, played four seasons at Lenoir-Rhyne University, where she scored 24 goals and earned multiple All-Region and conference honors. Dunn played with the Charlotte Eagles of the WPSL for three seasons, leading the team to the national championship in 2023.
Lexington also announced winger Courtney Jones will join the squad this season. Jones played four seasons with the Clemson Tigers, where she helped the team to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament in 2021. Jones is also a USL W League alum, as she started in all seven matches played for Greenville Liberty and helped qualify for the national playoffs in its inaugural season.
Jones will be joining her fellow Clemson and Liberty teammate Julie Mackin, who also recently signed with Lexington SC. Mackin was a four-year starter for Clemson and logged over 4,000 minutes played. The midfielder has played in all three W League seasons for Greenville, starting in 27 of her 29 matches played.
Brooklyn FC announced its only signee of the week in Long Island Native and former NWSL draftee Jessica Garziano. The midfielder joins Brooklyn after spending the summer with USL W League team Long Island Rough Riders, where she recorded seven goals and two assists in eight matches. Garziano also played five years at St. Johns, where she is the all-time assists leader (33) and seventh in career goals (22).
