FTL – Darya Rajaee: Fort Lauderdale’s captain has proven to be a sturdy and reliable option in the midfield. Rajaee won all five of her duels and recorded two interceptions and two clearances in last week’s match against Carolina Ascent.

DAL – Julia Dorsey: It was Dorsey’s high pressure that caused the turnover which led to the equalizer for Dallas in its last match. The fullback reads the game very well, makes great runs and sends through balls that start off the Trinity’s attack.
LEX – Marykate McGuire: It was only a matter of time before McGuire found the back of the net. The striker has composure and the ability to shoot from anywhere, which makes her extremely dangerous in the attacking third.

TB – Carlee Giammona: Giammona was all over the field for Tampa in its win last week. The midfielder had a goal and an assist by halftime, and she sent in the cross that eventually led to Tampa’s third goal of the night.
BKN – Mackenzie Pluck: The midfielder was one of the brightest spots for Brooklyn in its season opener. Pluck had two shots, including one that skimmed off the crossbar, and created two chances. As Brooklyn continues growing its cohesion, she will be one to keep an eye on.

SPK – Sarah Clark: The Zephyr’s captain has been holding down the defense for the team over its first two matches. She leads the team in clearances (10), blocks (2) and duels won (14) and is second in interceptions (3), while also having the highest passing accuracy at 87.3%.
CAR – Addisyn Merrick: In just her first appearance with Carolina last week, Merrick made her presence known. She won seven duels and two tackles, while also tallying six clearances and three interceptions. Merrick is sure to become a cornerstone in the team’s defense moving forward.
