SPRING SCHEDULE RELEASED
The USL Super League unveiled the Spring Schedule for the 2024/2025 regular season, which will kick off on Saturday, February 15, and conclude on Saturday, May 31. The USL Super League Playoffs will follow.
FTL UTD’S HOME OPENER
Fort Lauderdale United FC will host Brooklyn FC in the club’s home opener at FTL UTD Stadium on Sunday. FTL UTD looks to continue their win streak this weekend against a tough Brooklyn FC side.
FOUR ACADEMY PLAYERS NAMED TO U-17 WORLD CUP ROSTER
The U.S. U-17 Youth National team named four USL Super League Academy players to its roster for the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. Dallas Trinity FC’s Jordyn Hardeman, Evan O’Steen and Kiara Gilmore and Carolina Ascent FC’s Molly Vapensky will join the team for the tournament in the Dominican Republic from Oct. 16-Nov. 3.
COLLEGAITE CONNECTIONS
DC Power FC v Tampa Bay Sun: DC Power’s Claire Constant (2018-2021) and Tampa Bay’s Talia Staude (2019-23) played together at the University of Virginia for three seasons.
Brooklyn FC v FTL UTD: Brooklyn’s Sasha Pickard (2019-2023) and FTL UTD’s Felica Knox (2020-2023) competed together for three seasons at the University of Alabama.
Lexington SC v Carolina Ascent FC: Lexington’s goalkeeper Bridgette Skiba (2018-2021) and Carolina defender Sydney Studer (2018-2020) manned the defense for Oregon State University. Additionally, Carolina’s Renee Guion (2018-2022) competed with Lexington’s Julie Mackin (2016-2019) and Courtney Jones (2017-2022) at Clemson University, making it to the NCAA Tournament every season.
Spokane Zephyr FC v Dallas Trinity FC: Spokane’s Wayny Balata (2019-2023) and Dallas’ Sam Estrada (2018-2023) and Allie Thornton (2016-2019) overlapped during their time playing collegiately at Southern Methodist University.
TWO CLUBS REMAIN UNDEFEATED
Every USL Super League club has played at least four matches and two clubs remain undefeated:

REMATCHES
DC Power FC will welcome Tampa Bay Sun FC to Audi Field in the lone midweek match for Week 8. The two clubs met earlier this season and played to a 0-0 draw in the Sunshine state. DC is searching for its first win of the season and TB is looking find the back of the net, as the team hasn’t netted a goal in its last two matches.
Lexington SC is hosting Carolina Ascent FC in the club’s newly opened stadium this Sunday in a rematch from August. The previous matchup ended in a 1-1 draw, so both clubs will be looking to take all three points Sunday.
