The USL Super League announced the Team of the Month for March on Thursday, with Carolina Ascent FC forward Mia Corbin earning Player of the Month.
Corbin nearly doubled her goal tally for the season this month, scoring four goals in five matches, including a brace in the Ascent’s win over Dallas. Her standout performances helped lead Carolina to a 3-2-0 record in March, propelling the team to the top spot in the league standings for the first time since November. Corbin has now been named to the Team of the Month four times and earns her first Player of the Month recognition.
Fort Lauderdale’s Tyrone Mears became the first Super League coach to win Coach of the Month twice, after he also received the honor in September. FTL UTD went undefeated in March and briefly took over the top of the league table for the first time this season.
“I’m proud of the way my sporting staff continues to push the process forward, and credit to the players for earning Team of the Month recognitions,” Mears said. “Still, we know the job is far from finished — plenty more to build on.”
GK: Cosette Morché, Fort Lauderdale United FC – Morché played a pivotal role in Fort Lauderdale’s undefeated run through March. The Texas A&M Aggie made eight saves and secured two clean sheets across four matches to earn her first Team of the Month honor.
D: Haley Thomas, Spokane Zephyr FC – Thomas contributed on both ends of the pitch in the outside back position for Spokane this month. She recorded 22 clearances and 15 duels won, while also recording the assist on the game-winner against Tampa Bay.
D: Laurel Ansbrow, Fort Lauderdale United FC – Ansbrow earns her second consecutive Team of the Month honor in her first two months with Fort Lauderdale. The center back won 16 duels and five tackles and ranked first among defenders with an 88% passing accuracy in March.
D: Hannah Davison, Dallas Trinity FC – Davison anchored the defense for Dallas this month, playing every minute of all three matches. She tallied 22 clearances, six interceptions and 15 duels won, while helping the team earn two back-to-back clean sheets.
M: Shea Moyer, Lexington SC – The Penn State alum provided consistency for Lexington on both an offensive and defensive front this month. She posted an 84% passing accuracy and an 83% tackle success rate along with six clearances and three interceptions across Lexington’s three matches.
M: Taylor Aylmer, Spokane Zephyr FC – Aylmer was one of the most consistent and dominant midfielders this month. She helped Spokane to a 2-1-1 record in March by recording a goal, 24 duels won, 16 clearances and five interceptions, playing all 360 minutes.
M: Audrey Harding, Carolina Ascent FC – The midfielder had quite the month, especially in Carolina’s two huge wins to close out March. On top of her two goals and three assists, she also registered 36 duels won, five chances created, nine shots and eight interceptions.
M: Mackenzie George, Brooklyn FC – Brooklyn’s leading goal contributor added to her tally this month with a goal and an assist. The Tennessee Volunteer played in a more defensive role in March while still getting involved in the attack, resulting in 26 duels won, 10 clearances, five shots and five chances created.
F: Tash Flint, Tampa Bay Sun FC – The English international and Tampa Bay’s leading goal scorer had another outstanding month for the Sun. Alongside her four goals, including a brace against Brooklyn, she registered 15 shots, four interceptions and three chances created.
F: Mia Corbin, Carolina Ascent FC – March’s Player of the Month adds another notch to her belt after netting four goals in 12 total shots and creating five chances for her team. The Golden Boot leader will look to keep up this good form to help Carolina stay in the No. 1 spot.
F: Gianna Gourley, DC Power FC – Gianna Gourley has been a bright spot for Power FC since joining the team over the break. Her two goals this month set her as the team’s leading scorer, and she also had an assist, 16 shots and five tackles won in March.
Coach: Tyrone Mears, Fort Lauderdale United FC – Mears steered the ship for Fort Lauderdale’s impressive March, finishing with a record of 2-0-2 to extend its undefeated run to nine matches.
Bench: Vivianne Bessette (TB), Camryn Lancaster (DAL), Sh’Nia Gordon (FTL), Jill Aguilera (CAR)

DAL – Camryn Lancaster: The young star has provided another strong attacking threat to Dallas’ front line since joining the team in February. She recorded two shots, two crosses and a chance created in last week’s match against Carolina.
DC – Gianna Gourley: The striker has found her stride over the last few weeks, scoring three goals in four matches to lead the team. If DC can send a long ball over the top or create an opportunity for Gourley inside the box, Dallas should expect a shot on goal coming from her.

FIRST TO TEN
Carolina, Brooklyn and Fort Lauderdale all sit at nine wins on the season. Dallas is also at eight wins with two matches this week. Which team will be the first to reach 10 wins?
FINAL FLORIDA DERBY
Fort Lauderdale and Tampa Bay will face off this weekend in the fourth and final regular season Florida Derby matchup. The teams have tied 1-1, 1-1 and 2-2 in the three previous meetings. Fort Lauderdale is riding a nine-match unbeaten streak, but Tampa Bay is hard to beat at Riverfront Stadium. Will there finally be a Florida Derby winner?
COLLEGE CONNECTIONS
Dallas’ Amber Brooks and DC Power’s Adelaide Gay were teammates for the UNC Tar Heels in 2010-2011. Also, Spokane’s Ally Cook will be facing off against her former UCLA Bruin teammate (2022-2023) and Brooklyn goalkeeper Neeku Purcell.

Carolina has risen to not only second in the Power Rankings but first in the league standings after taking down Dallas Trinity last weekend. Led by a Mia Corbin brace and another goal from Eli Hutchinson, Carolina secured its second-straight shutout win, the first time it has achieved that feat this season.
Corbin and midfielder Audrey Harding have been the catalyst for Carolina’s recent offensive success. The duo has scored or assisted on nine of the 10 goals from the team in March. Both recorded braces in the last two matches and have combined for 21 shots and 10 chances created this month.
On the defensive end, credit goes to center back Jenna Butler, who has continued to hold down the backline since joining the team in January. She recorded seven clearances and two interceptions in Saturday’s match. Goalkeeper Samantha Leshnak Murphy has also asserted her dominance in goal with back-to-back clean sheets.

Fort Lauderdale United FC (9-5-5) Week 27: @ TB |
![]() Last Week: 1 |
FTL UTD remains unbeaten through nine matches and can continue the streak this weekend in the final Florida Derby of the regular season. Jasmine Hamid and Sh’Nia Gordon have had standout performances the last few weeks and will be the key players heading into Week 27. |
2 | ![]() |
Carolina Ascent FC (9-5-7) Week 27: — |
![]() Last Week: 4 |
The Ascent is in excellent form as of late, most recently earning multi-goal victories over Lexington and Dallas. The team’s offense is starting to click, pairing well with the dominant defense the team has shown over the course of the season. |
3 | ![]() |
Spokane Zephyr FC (5-7-7) Week 27: vs. BKN |
![]() Last Week: 3 |
Spokane has recorded three wins in its last five matches and held Fort Lauderdale, one the best attacking teams in the league, to a scoreless draw. The team still sits eight points below the playoff line, so the upcoming matches against Brooklyn and Dallas are huge opportunities for Spokane to use its momentum and make a push up the standings. |
4 | ![]() |
Tampa Bay Sun FC (6-5-9) Week 27: vs. FTL |
![]() Last Week: 5 |
Although the Sun is only three points shy of a playoff spot, its recent form has been lacking both energy and consistency, going 1-1-5 in its last seven matches. Natasha Flint has been a shining light however, scoring four goals in the last three matches. Tampa Bay will need her in the upcoming Florida Derby to get back in the win column. |
5 | ![]() |
Dallas Trinity FC (8-5-6) Week 27: vs. DC |
![]() Last Week: 2 |
After two thrilling goal-filled victories over Brooklyn, Dallas suffered a 3-0 loss to Carolina last weekend. When the team is connecting and building on momentum, Dallas is tough to beat. However, once Trinity concedes first, it struggles to get back in the match. Luckily, the upcoming double matchweek provides a chance to earn some of those dropped points back. |
6 | ![]() |
DC Power FC (3-9-6) Week 27: @ DAL |
![]() Last Week: 6 |
Despite DC’s recent offensive surge, mainly through the talent of Gianna Gourley, it still is not earning the results it would like and remains at the bottom of the table. Power FC proved against Brooklyn it can go toe-to-toe with top-of-the-league teams, but it will need to dig deep and be disciplined defensively this week against Dallas. |
7 | ![]() |
Brooklyn FC (9-6-6) Week 27: @ SPK |
![]() Last Week: 7 |
Once again, Brooklyn cannot contain its opponents and conceded a late equalizer to draw 2-2 with Tampa Bay last weekend. While Brooklyn has managed to address their goal-scoring drought, the persistent issue of conceding goals continues to plague them, something that will need to be resolved quickly if they hope to reclaim their place at the top of the table. |
8 | ![]() |
Lexington SC (4-11-4) Week 27: vs. DAL |
![]() Last Week: 8 |
After last week off, Lexington is back in action on Sunday against Dallas, an opponent that dominated Lexington in its first two matches this season. The Girls in Green have an opportunity to turn the tide and pick up a crucial win to keep its season afloat if it’s able to bring back the defensive composure seen in the earlier draw against Brooklyn. |

Over the winter break, every USL Super League club signed and brought in new players on loan. While there were a few big names that we knew would make an immediate impact, others have shown themselves to be huge steals just two months into the Spring Schedule.
Here are our top three spring steals this far:
DC Power had the poorest offensive performance during the Fall Schedule. It had a league-worst conversion rate at 4.5% and recorded a league-fewest seven goals through the 14 matches – two of which were penalties, and another was gifted on an own goal.
The team has already matched that total of seven goals in just four matches this spring, and all-but-one came in the run of play. DC is now averaging 1.75 goals per game this spring, behind only Dallas (2.5) and Carolina (2).
A large part of this offensive burst is due to Gianna Gourley. We saw a glimpse of the striker’s talent while she was with Fort Lauderdale, but since her loan to the Capitol, she has provided a spark to the team’s floundering front line. Gourley has been ever-present, logging 360 minutes, and now leads DC with three goals, along with one assist and 10 shots, four of which have been on target.
DC Interim Head Coach Phil Nana has frequently credited Gourley for her effort and skill over the last four matches. Although the team has still struggled to earn the results it would like, it has a lot to look forward to with Gourley now on its side.

Laurel Ansbrow was fresh off an NCAA College Cup Final appearance with Wake Forest in December before joining FTL UTD this spring. While we saw her make history with the Demon Deacons last season, her short time in the Super League has been just as impressive.
The center back is averaging a league-high 91% passing accuracy and ranks third among defenders in passes (310) and fourth in clearances (32) this spring. On top of that, she recorded an assist in her first match with Fort Lauderdale and has played all 540 minutes since joining the squad.
With her center back partner Laveni Vaka out for the rest of the season with a knee injury, the 21-year-old will be the key piece to the team’s backline as it closes in on a playoff spot.

During the fall, Allie Thornton and Sam Meza were the two stars getting all the attention on Dallas’ offense. Once Meza completed her loan and returned to Seattle Reign, the focus shifted to the arrival of Texas Longhorn and USYNT midfielder Lexi Missimo. That overshadowed the addition of Camryn Lancaster a little, especially with the club announcing her only two days before its first match back.
Lancaster played 23 minutes in her professional debut against Spokane, but it wasn’t until Dallas’ blowout win over Brooklyn that we saw what the TCU alum was made of. In her first start, she scored in first-half stoppage time and provided the run that led to Thornton’s first goal of the night. Lancaster later doubled her goal count in the following match.
As another 2024 grad, Lancaster is young but has so much poise and skill in front of goal. All three of her shots have been on target, but she has also created three chances because she recognizes when the better option is to lay it off to her teammates. That high IQ paired with her speed and high press is a nightmare for defenders.
It took Dallas a few matches to get things going, but it looks like the pieces are starting to click. Whether Lancaster is in the starting lineup or coming in off the bench, she will be an asset to Trinity going forward as it also makes a run for the postseason.

Carolina Ascent FC v Dallas Trinity FC, 7:00 p.m. ET
TOP OF THE TABLE
Two points separate the top four clubs in the league standings. A win for Brooklyn, Carolina or Dallas this weekend could temporarily put the team in the No. 1 spot. A win for Tampa Bay would put the team just a point behind fourth-place Dallas.
SIX APIECE
Tampa Bay’s Carlee Giammona, Natasha Flint and Cecilie Fløe have each scored six goals this season. No other club has three different scorers with 5+ goals each.
UNBEATEN STREAK
Fort Lauderdale’s draw with Spokane marked its ninth consecutive match without a loss. The team is just two matches away from tying the record set by Carolina Ascent, which started the season unbeaten through 11 matches.
NEW LEAGUE LEADERS
Last week, Dallas’ Allie Thornton scored her ninth goal of the season, tying Fort Lauderdale’s Addie McCain for the most in the league. Carolina’s Jill Aguilera recorded her fifth assist of the season, tying her for first in the league with Lexington’s Madi Parsons and Maddy Perez. Lastly, Dallas goalkeeper Madison White earned her league-leading seventh clean sheet.
COLLEGE CONNECTIONS
Carolina’s Emily Moxley, who made her debut with the team last weekend, played for the UNC Tar Heels from 2020-2023 alongside Dallas Trinity defender Julia Dorsey.
Tampa Bay’s Carlee Giammona played at the University of Alabama in 2019 with Brooklyn defender Sasha Pickard, and later transferred to Pepperdine, where she played three seasons with Brooklyn center back Kelsey Hill.
LOST IN NY
Brooklyn FC is still searching for its first win of the Spring Schedule after going 0-3-3 in its first six matches of 2025. Brooklyn’s last win was during the Fall Finale when the team handed Dallas its first loss at the Cotton Bowl on December 14.
TAMPA, Fla. – There are no new suspensions to report.

Spokane continues to rise after productive double matchweek
Since the return from break, Spokane Zephyr FC has been one of the most exciting teams to watch and has propelled itself into a position to earn a spot in the postseason. In Spokane’s five spring matches, it has gone 3-1-1, second to only Fort Lauderdale in that span.
Spokane’s attack has transformed since the fall and has created more chances on goal. Emina Ekić had already started making a name for herself in the league as one of the most dynamic playmakers, but now combined with Ally Cook, Zephyr’s offense looks even stronger. Midfielder Katie Murray has also gotten forward more often than we saw in the first half of the season to become another attacking option. Ekić, Cook and Murray have combined for 12 shots, six goals and 11 chances created this spring.
Zephyr’s defense has also continued to be one of the most composed in the league. Center back Sarah Clark has recorded 31 clearances in the last five matches, including the incredible goal-line save against Tampa Bay Sun on Wednesday. The outside backs of Alyssa Bourgeois and Haley Thomas have excelled in shutting down runs on the flanks as well as getting forward in Spokane’s attack. They’ve combined for 19 tackles won, 45 duels won, 33 clearances and seven chances created.
Spokane’s win last week over the Sun was huge in terms of closing the gap in the standings. Zephyr has nine matches to go, six of which are against higher-ranked opponents. If they can keep picking up points along the way, there’s still a chance for the team to slide into the top four.

Fort Lauderdale United FC (9-5-5) Week 26: — |
![]() Last Week: 1 |
FTL UTD remains No. 1 after picking up a point in the draw against Spokane. Although it was just the third time the team was shut out this season, Fort Lauderdale dominated possession and still got off 13 shots to continue its nine-match unbeaten streak. |
2 | ![]() |
Dallas Trinity FC (8-4-6) Week 26: @ CAR |

Trinity picked up right where it left off and earned consecutive victories against Brooklyn after winning 3-0 on Wednesday. Camryn Lancaster has quickly shown what an asset she is to the team, and 17-year-old Sealey Strawn continues to make a case for why she’s one of the best young stars in the league. |

Spokane Zephyr FC (5-7-7) Week 26: — |
![]() Last Week: 5 |
After earning back-to-back stoppage time wins, Spokane held the team on a scoring streak to its first shutout since November. So long as Zephyr keeps playing hard the full 90+ minutes and capitalizing on goal-scoring opportunities, the team will continue to rise in the standings. |
4 | ![]() |
Carolina Ascent FC (8-5-7) Week 26: vs. DAL |
![]() Last Week: 4 |
Carolina finally earned the big win that had been brewing over the past few weeks. The team jumped out to an early lead and never let off the gas. Riley Parker and Audrey Harding recorded their first goals of the season, and the Ascent earned its first clean sheet of the spring. |
5 | ![]() |
Tampa Bay Sun FC (6-5-8) Week 26: @ BKN |
![]() Last Week: 3 |
Tampa Bay fought back against Spokane and found a late equalizer in Wednesday’s match before ultimately falling 2-1 in stoppage time. The team has struggled to put away some of its other chances in the final third, and averaging one goal per game this spring will rarely be enough to earn wins in this league. |
6 | ![]() |
DC Power FC (3-9-6) Week 26: — |
![]() Last Week: 7 |
Gianna Gourley has been on fire for DC Power since her trade over the break, and she has played a key role in the points DC has earned this spring. If DC was a little bit more organized defensively, it possibly could have gotten a win over Brooklyn last weekend. |

Brooklyn FC (9-6-5) Week 26: vs. TB |

Just when it seemed like Brooklyn would pick up its first win of the spring, it conceded a late equalizer and had to split points with DC after falling 3-0 to Dallas midweek. Individual errors are costing the team, along with the fact that it is still not able to capitalize on scoring opportunities like it did in the fall. |

Lexington SC (4-11-4) Week 26: — |

Once Lexington conceded in the second minute, the team struggled to find its footing in the match. Clearing lines continues to be the Achilles heel for this team, and it also is not scoring at the rate it was at the beginning of the season. |
