Tampa, Fla. (August 13, 2024) – The USL Super League is excited to unveil its championship trophy for the 2024/25 inaugural season, which kicks off this weekend.
The USL Super League Trophy will be awarded to the winner of the 2024/25 USL Super League Final, which will take place in June 2025 as the culmination of the 2024/25 USL Super League Playoffs.
“This trophy reflects the passion, spirit and drive that our players, fans, and clubs showcased over the last three years to bring the league to life,” said Amanda Vandervort, USL Super League President. “With our opening matches just days away, it’s thrilling to think ahead to June when one of our teams will lift it as the inaugural USL Super League champion.”
The USL Super League Trophy was developed by an all-women in-house team of designers and executives, who worked with longtime USL awards fabricator Saxton Industrial Inc. to determine the final form and structure. Reminiscent of iconic soccer trophies around the world, the trophy features a classic “cup” emblazoned with the USL Super League’s primary “USL S” logo. It is flanked by a pair of curved handles that give it a sleek but powerful silhouette.
The trophy, which stands 22 inches tall, is expected to visit each USL Super League city over the course of the 2024/25 season.
The 2024/25 USL Super League season kicks off this Saturday, Aug. 17, with an opening-night doubleheader featuring Carolina Ascent FC hosting DC Power FC at 7:00PM ET followed by Spokane Zephyr FC hosting Fort Lauderdale United FC at 9:00PM ET. The Inaugural Weekend finishes on Sunday, Aug. 18, when Tampa Bay Sun FC will host Dallas Trinity FC at 6:30PM ET.
All USL Super League matches, including the playoffs and the final, will be streamed live on Peacock, the home of the USL Super League.
